Always handle the coral by the frag plug to avoid damaging the coral.
1) Open bag/cup and pour water into a separate container.
2) Place frags into container.
3) Add just enough water from your aquarium to submerge coral.
4) Wait 10 minutes for coral to adjust to water chemistry and temperature. Gently baste coral with turkey baster to remove any detritus. Any DOA corals should be reported at this time, please email us(sales@ajsaquariums.com) a clear digital photo of the damaged coral.
5) Place coral low in the tank or on a side frag rack to allow the coral time to adjust to lighting after transport.
6) Waiting 24hrs before dipping corals will help them tolerate dip and recover faster after transport. This will greatly reduce the risk of RTN (rapid tissue necrosis) caused by additional stress.
